TOEFL Exam Pattern
TOEFL exam pattern is as follows - four sections, namely, Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing - along with the total score. Each section has a score range of 0-30, for a total score range of 0-120. Scores will be posted online 10 days after the test date. ETS will send up to four official score reports directly to the institutions the student selects. Here we cover the TOEFL iBT test pattern.
- There are 4 sections which are Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking sections.
- The Reading section consists of 30 to 40 questions that need to be completed in 54 to 72 minutes.
- The Listening task consists of 28 to 38 questions which need to be completed in 41 to 57 minutes.
- After these two sections, there is a break of 10 minutes
- And then the Speaking section takes place in which there are 4 tasks which need to be completed in 17 minutes.
- Lastly, the Writing section takes place in which 2 tasks are given which is 50 minutes.
